This cat is hiding in between the lavender. The buzzing of bumblebees can be heard when the cat watches you quietly.

This work was commissioned for a friend of mine. Her cat died recently and quite unexpected. My friend wanted a memory other then a photograph of her. So this is the result.

My friend and I both love lavender. It's special colour and scents are enchanting. I added the bumblebees because you often see them on lavender when they are blossoming. It's a great view.

I loved adding all the details to the painting. I was glad to hear that my friend was very happy with the painting.
