This biomorphic image was done with fine acrylics on stretched linen with 3/4 inch gallery wrap edges, with the painting extending over the sides, so no need for a frame. Painting was finished with a light glaze that gives the painting a shimmer.
The many photos I took of this piece still could not capture the definition of the gradations of the red shades. There were 8 in all, from the lightest, a bright crimson, to the darkest, a bordeaux red. Then a gradation of charcoal to light gray was set over a black background, which can be seen around the edges.
This image is multidirectional and can be displayed from any angle.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
