This painting was done in response to a bully my daughter is dealing with at school. Because of my daughter's love of reptiles, bugs, amphibians and critters of all sorts one little girl has been calling her "critter girl" like it was a bad thing. This painting was done to show my 7 year old daughter that being Kritter Girl is a good thing. Kritter Girl is a future biologist, zoologist, or vet. Kritter girl is going to save the lives of animals in her community or maybe worldwide. She might even find a way to save endangered species from global warming. But first she must learn to take pride in her love of critters and her facination with how they work. This is a girl whose greatest treasure finds were snake skin, lizards (which she let go after studying them) and a taod that had the misfortune to try and make his home in her sandbox (also let go after being examined). Yeah Kritter Girl! You Go Girl!
