This is a two-part painting - kind of a before & after series. It is a light-hearted take on the "Frog Prince" tale. This piece shows a girl (possibly a princess in her own right) who steals a quick kiss from a frog with a crown. afterward, feeling slightly embarassed, she walks away leaving just a frog who happened to be wearing a little hat. Read into it what you will - I think that it shows that sometimes people (maybe women in general) are too quick to suspend disbelief in the hope of finding something special.
