About the artist: DeAnna G. Conn

    I'm DeAnna G. Conn and paint daily in my art studio. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), major in studio painting from Converse College, 2000 (DeAnna Gladys Lamb). I've worked in various art related jobs including freelance art projects, private commissions, teaching high school art.

    I love creating abstract or distorted fantasy figures like mermaids, fairies, and modern folk art type ladies. My subjects are almost always female sometimes serious, sometimes just fun, cute, or aesthetic art for art's sake. My art and the colors I choose often reflect my mood at the time of creation, sometimes dark and a little gothic but, usually a little lighter and brighter.

The mermaid is one of my favorite subjects!
