I have been a professional painter for over 15 years. My inspiration comes from my life growing up in a small town in Upstate New York. I love expressing myself through my spirituality. I first began oil painting in 1983, and created mostly landscapes. Naturally, I used my painting to portray the worlds I could only imagine.
While working toward my BS in studio art, I studied many of the prominent artists, which gave my work the variation and style it needed. I started to use techniques developed by many artists' of the past, such as O'Keefe and Renoir, to enhance my work. Today, I like to combine many elements from landscapes, real people and fantasy.
Sculpting with various clays is another medium I use to express my feelings. The tiny little creatures I make all have different personalities and expressions. I am looking forward to exploring more with this exciting and challenging medium for many years to come.
