The mermaid queen sits by one of the three canal rings that were part of Atlantis. According to Plato, at the height of Atlantis, these rings were also surrounded on both sides by walls. As time and erosion happened to the lost city, in my vision, the walls have disappeared leaving just the canal rings, and a part of the temple on the hill.
