Unframed Oil on Canvas

Media:  Oil on Canvas
Dimensions:  12" x 16"
Date of Work:  January 2005

This is a study painted in oil from the still life in studio. The painting was done quickly, alla prima ( in one session ), wet into wet in oil. The day was very grey and there was a cold January rain falling outside. The studio is only lit with whatever natural light comes in through the skylight, pure North light. This painting depicts a wine bottle, a plate, and some apples amid some drapery.

This painting is unframed, and has staples on the sides of the canvas.
