Media:  Oil on Canvas
Dimensions:  12" x 9"
Date of Work:  May 2004

This is a study I did in like an hour, after struggling with various aspects of the same still life setup on other canvases, I decided to hone in on just the bottles and the pears ( there were also a brass teapot, oranges, flowers and other things in the set up ) and do a quick study just of the bottle and the pears. Oil on 9" x 12" canvas. So I did this study in an hour in studio and it's unfinished but I like it the way it is so I'm going to leave it, I particularly like the way the cork came out, it's demented but I think it's cool ;-) I really should put more shadow in on the left for composition but I think I'll just keep it the way it is for my own collection to remind me to work freely and quickly:
