This is a portrait of Harry the model painted from life on Sunday ( in April 2006 ) in one session. Only natural Northern lighting was used in the studio.

Harry is a great model, it was fun to paint him. I am finding as I progress with this work that the possibilities with oils are basically limitless, which is exhilarating and a little scary also in some ways. It gives me a lot of excitement for the future paintings.
