Begun in 2001, this canvas was set aside as I felt that I did not have something essential necessary to complete it. After about 7 weeks of study of the still life in traditional preimpressionistic painting workshop, I found the missing ingredients and finished the work on this canvas relatively quickly. The texture is good and the color gradations subtle as well as the shading.

This piece again explores the concepts of the artist's creativity and quest for the muse.
