This piece was created slowly over a number of months, almost a year. It was worked on by me during a lot of studio sessions, waiting to take on its final form. The piece is mixed media collage of special handmade papers, magazine pieces, acrylic paint and cut up credit ATM card on a cigar box. The bank logo, like a financial care, appears prominently but in the world I have created with this box, the bank logo is turned upside down. This is, after all, a box of dreams and the ordinary should be turned on its ear. The piece utilizes, color, form line, texture and words. I have inscribed it with many words including ( on the front ) "box of dreams", ( on the side ) "art is love" and inside "find light happy morning", "love" and "hope." Sometimes all of us need a box of dreams. Sometimes the box is empty and all we have to put inside the box are the words we paint inside.
