This is the rabbit from Alice In Wonderland--I love working on children's illustrations, so I have kept to this style for the rabbit, and I cut out and collaged several butterfly stamps to the piece to add to the fantasy-feel, to get at the idea of rabbit rushing around on his travels, now traveling the world as well. I also used texture gels (glass beads and sand) as well as imitation gold leaf which I rubbed in and poked at to give it a more rough and antique feel. Rabbit has his umbrella with him; his pocketwatch is also in the picture--please see the detail image below. I have included loads of flowers, too, since rabbits and springtime just go together--and we are knee-deep in snow right now, looking forward to spring!
