Water carries with it mystery and mood. This elemental subject can change with the forces such as weather, slope, and gravitational pull. It can transform into steam, ice and back to liquid form. It sustains life and without it nothing survives. This is why I find painting water so intriguing. The surface of the water is the main focus of this piece. Although I wanted just as much to communicate on the "busy" ness of the koi fish just underneath the surface of the water.
