This 8" X 10" acrylic painting on stretched canvas is a portrait of "Star Baby" a cat owned by Connie Black. This is the first attempt I have ever made at painting any kind of animal. In our family, we have only had dogs and hamsters and fish as pets as most of us are allergic to cats. I took the project on as I painted Star Baby from a photograph and therefore wasn't worried about the usual accompanying discomfort. I decided to surround her with stars as a tribute to her name.
