When I was a young girl, I used to spend some of my summers up on Sebago Lake in Maine. We stayed at a place called "Wind In the Pines" which was a kind of resort with individual cabins. There was a small beachfront and a float out in the water and we spent a lot of days that summer just swimming and reading books and lounging on the beach. I recall coming up from under the water after diving off the float and seeing the little beach ahead and the pine trees in the near distance. That is what this painting represents. This watercolor measures 10" X 14" and is rendered on Kilimanjaro 140 lb. cold press paper.
