I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. My very first experience was with a Santa Claus camera that took only black and white pictures - I think I was eight or nine. From then on I was hooked. I always had a camera with me. Since then my vision has changed (and my camera ;-)) but the passion remains the same. I still get as excited now as I did when I took my first picture. I have always loved beautiful scenery and have spent many hours looking through books and traveling just soaking it all in. I like all forms of photography but my true love is nature photography. I love landscapes - streams, mountains, fields - It just seems to draw me in and I love waiting for that one perfect shot when the sun or the moon hits something just how you imagined - It is so exhilarating. Also I'm getting more and more interested in birds. They are very unpredictable and sometimes can be hard to capture on film but I have a lot of patience and don't mind waiting. I am mostly self taught but have studied under a few artists including Don McGowan and Adam Jones. I live on Florida's nature coast and while there are beautiful things here - I feel at home when I am in the mountains and hope one day to move to Tennessee or Kentucky and pursue a career in photography full time.
