This piece I created for a glass challenge for EBSQ artists. We were supplied with glass, and had to come up with a piece, and at the end of the challenge, our peers voted on their favorites. I'm proud to say that my piece took second place. :-)
I incorporated my love of asian art and glass to create a multi-layered piece. There are four layers of glass in this rich wooden frame, and I used glass paint in a chinese brushwork techinique to create the lotus bloom and buds. That's my original chinese seal signature painted onto the lower right.
Enjoy this secret water garden on a windowsill, or at your desk, on a mantel and let it bring you a peaceful feeling.
This is my entry in the Nibblefest Art Contest. There are other entries for you to choose from with each entry title containing the word NFAC. Please be sure to search for NFAC to see more great entries. We appreciate it!
