Earth Goddess is a necklace made with steel wire, leather, tiger's eye beads, wire, and glass beads. It measures 24" long. The coils are handmade with 16 gauge steel wire that was cleaned and coiled on a mandrel. To hold the coils together I strung tiger's eye beads from loop to loop. The pendant area is made from leather rolled over steelwire and then embellished with a variety of beads attached with wire. A bird's nest fashiojned from 20 gauge wire and three "eggs" agate beads, hangs beside a copper disk and round tiger's eye bead dangle. The inspiration came to me from nature, where everything is tough and endures the cold weather. Dead leaves are on the ground, yet the birds build nests in the cold weather. Tiger's Eye stands for physical strength and optimism.
