Vision of Cancer, the water born. Cancer has a particular significance to me, as I was born July 10th and am a cancer sign. The symbols associated with cancer are the crab, whose hard shell hides a soft interior. Water is the dominant element of the cancerian nature as it symbolizes emotion, depth of consciousness, and flowing or raging movement in fluidity. The moon plays a key element in cancer through intense reflection, and tidal changes in emotion through the ebb and flow of energies in our lives. A cancer can be the overflowing cup of love and beauty, or the raging storm tempered only by the soft dove of peace.

This painting was completed with professional grade acrylic paints on 3/4" deep stretched canvas using a thin glazing technique. Glaze is verigated to give the look of an old or discolored playing card, and may be more variable than picture shown.
