Vision of the death of Venus, or Venus in repose. She is morned by her sisters, who rise to greet her, the Pleiades. The death of Venus is an astronomical event which occurs on the northern horizon (Venus is no longer present in our skies) and the Pleiades rise above the horizon line at the same time. For those in the Southern hemisphere, this event is celebrated as the birth of Venus, whose influence was ever important to the south american and meso-american ancient cultures.
