April of 2003 I began creating Polaroid SX-70 Manipulations. I first became interested in this medium by chance when I found a used book of polaroid manipulations titled "Painterly Photography... Awakening the Artist Within" by Elizabeth Murray. Then a few months later after discovering Kathleen Carr's book "Polaroid Manipulations" I knew I had to do this! Photography has always given me a rush but when I complete the transformation of a polaroid into a piece of impressionistic art it just blows me away. I hope you enjoy my polaroid art as much as I have creating it.

About the photo creation process: The vintage Polaroid SX-70 camera I use was purchased on E-Bay. After the Time Zero film is exposed I move the emulsion with a stylus to creat the flowing painterly lines.
