This is a magnificent painting of a pair of rare-breed Norwegian Fjord horses that I chanced upon out on the open range around Ennis Montana. They were so beautiful and friendly, with an ancient wisdom to them. The day was dark and moody. It is much more impressive in person with a gold underpainting.
