About Amy

My name is Amy Haught. I have been involved the the arts for most of my life. At an early age I discovered my creative side when I entered an art contest in the first grade. I painted a watercolor of frogs, and won a first place ribbon. This was where it all started. I haven't put the paintbrush down since. I love to paint, and actually can't imagine one day going by without digging paint out from under my nails, or buying yet another pair of jeans, because I somehow managed to get paint on the last one. I get lost in my painting, in a deeply satisfying way. When an auction is over and the bidding has ended, I almost feel a loss in knowing the painting will be leaving. I hope that doesn't make me sound strange, but, I believe a piece of me goes with every painting. Art has a way of doing that.

Recently Sold on Ebay "Red Square Flowers"

I began selling my art many years ago, most of my work was done on a commission basis. I lived in a small town in Hartville, Ohio, and created works down in my basement. Eight years ago my husband and I decided to build a new home in Bath, Ohio. We incorporated a plan for a studio and gallery to be an integral part of the design. This is where I spend most of my time while my three boys are in school.

I create a limited number of paintings each year. Each painting is an original work signed by me. I display my art in various galleries across Ohio, and have sold over 450 original artworks through the internet. (click on the "ebay" icon shown at the top of this page, below my name and address ,for my most recent available paintings) . With each auction, I try to include a brief narrative on what inspired me to paint each piece. I have sold my work to private collectors on a national and international level.

I welcome your feedback and thank-you for taking the time to learn about me and my work. I am forever grateful to be able to create and sell my work, and I hope if you purchase my work, you will love it as much as I have in creating it!
