All my life I've been influenced by art and drawn to creating my own. I pursed this desire in college and earned a B.A. in Art Education at San Diego State University, graduating with distinctions in 1995.
For the past nine years I've been creating unique envirnoments through murals for children, business signs and custom pet portraits. My work is in many homes throughout the U.S. and abroad. It is a honor to share my artistic vision with others.
I'm an Art teacher at an elementary school teaching grades Third, Fourth and Fifth grade. I love working with the children and introducing them to Master artist. The process is educational and fun and I gain huge inspiration from them. I also teach private classes.
I love what I do and feel fortunate to be able to do it as my profession.For me art is a necessity, it's part of my I can't ignore. I'm constantly thinking of new images and compositions I want to pursue. It's wonderful to express my emotions through my artwork. I paint almost everyday. My style varies greatly, I like to experiment with paint and challenge myself as an artist. My work has been referred to as unique, fresh and whimsical. Color is a big part of my work and I use a lot of bright colors. My favorite subject are cats. I just love there personalities and beautiful lines. I also enjoy painting dogs, flowers, butterflies and women. I'm not limited to these subjects, and venture away from them at times, but always return.
My main inspiration is the love of my family. Being a Mother is a wonderful experience that helps me to grow everyday. My other passions include doing yoga, camping, riding my bike, and listening to music!! Thanks for taking the time to look at my work, I hope you enjoy!
