The painting "Dreaming of Paris" has various meanings to it. The Eiffel Tower in the background is the landmark of Paris that I would like to visit one day; the pearl earring and the blue turban over her head is from the movie I viewed "Girl with a Pearl Earring” about the painter Vermeer, wonderful movie. The figure pose is from one of Michelangelo’s sculptures of the woman of the Tomb of Giuliano de' Medici and rest is from my imagination. I tried to give the painting a bit of a renissaunce look mixed with today's modernism.
