Long ago woman and their horses gave birth together in the streets when they had nowhere else to go. They helped each other give birth guided by a friendly blue medicine spirit. Sometimes the blue medicine soul would be seen as a star shining above the strange birthing couple or other times as a man. .Miracle births have been noted throughout time though very few have been documented through art and so I felt compelled to do so. This magical relationship between a woman and her horse has been an inspiration to many artists and writers throughout history and so I follow in the steps of history honoring the woman and her horse. I used oil paint on stretch canvas to create this work. Thank You
