This images is based on the news reports from Hurricane Katrina. The water was so devastating that buried bodies were rising up from the underground and there was no way to keep them down. I saw pictures on the news of people who had tied their diseased loved ones to objects to prevent them from floating away. I also imagined that other animals living underground in New Orleans had to surface because the ground was too wet. In this picture you see two corpses and a mole rising from the underground because of the flood waters. I used ink and colored pencil to create this image. Thank You.
