I had the great luck of aquiring a copy of "Sorrento and InlaindWork" by Arthur Hope, published in 1876. This is a wonderful slim volume of information on woodworking, including scroll saw work. The scroll saw patterns are perfectly adaptable to scherenschnitte! Included among the patterns is a wonderful alphabet made up of human figures.
