At summer camp in Colorado this year I practised a new dry brush technique for painting animal fur. My friend watched me paint and said, I have a wonderful photograph of a dog with a fawn. Would you like it? Oh yes, I replied. May I paint from it? Soon the photo arrived by email; it was so darling that I began immediately to paint this picture of a mother's love.
