Monopoly Collage Trashion Bracelet

This is a collage bracelet created with a plastic cloth sports tape roll cover and vintage Monopoly money and images from the instructions sheet.

I collect all kinds of game pieces for my jewelry creations and mixed media work and I have Billion$ of Dollar$ in Monopoly Money. Too bad I can't use that at the grocery store or filling station!

I also keep boxes of would-be-trash that I can use to make other things.

I cut up the vintage Monopoly money and some images from the instructions and decoupaged it all to the plastic ring to make a bracelet. I love how the whimsical, funny papers look overlapping! Such a cute and funky fashion accessory.

I played games throughout my childhood and this is a very nostalgic piece. I love taking scraps and trash and creating something fun and unique. I feel it is important for me to challenge myself regularly to create with out of the ordinary materials. It helps me break free of a creative rut and I sometimes surprise myself with what I end up creating.
