While pet sitting one time I was cleaning out the canary cage and Cupid (one of the cats) was just sitting and watching not really showing any interest in the bird itself (that was still in the cage) I turned to throw the dirty paper into the trash and when I turned back...Cupid was still sitting there exactly as she was before only now she had 2 long feathers sticking out of her mouth! I looked at the bird and it was missing it's tail feathers! And she looked like nothing had happened! I guess the sight of that tail sticking out of the cage was just too much too resist! I created this piece on a 5x5 inch stretched canvas...staple free sides are painted black so framing isn't necessary! I finished it with an acrylic varnish to protect. This is a one of a kind original painting...not a print!
