Media:  Glass on Wood Panel
Dimensions:  21 1/2" x 22"
Date of Work:  2006

I was recently stuck in a two day meeting and at the end of the two days I had given all I could give. I took a lunch break and drew out this design in about the 15 minutes. The meeting was confidential, for which I could not discuss the subject with even my peers, so I had taken to calling the meeting the “Double Secret” meeting. Since the design came during that period, I am calling this the Clandestine Meeting.

I used a recycled cabinet door that I acquired from my local Freecycle group. These are perfect for readily framed mosaics. This is one of the few times I sat down and actually planned the colors - and of course they changed as I finished up one section to the other. I used stained glass, mirror glass and Van Gogh glass and grouted with black grout. The frame portion of the cabinet door was textured then painted.

This piece is currently in my inventory in my Etsy Store. You can go there by clicking the Etsy link above - just below my name.
