This is another one of my series of insect views. Insects see differently than we do, with multi-faceted eyes. This piece is what I think a bee in a sunflower patch might see.
I made this piece with orange mirror glass, copper rose mirror tapestry glass and Van Gogh glass. In the upper right hand corner you will see a jeweled bee finding. The substrate is a recycled wooden cabinet door (Habitat for Humanity find) which I textured and painted the frame portion. I used black sanded grout.
