Media:  glass on glass mosaic
Dimensions:  9" dia 1 3/4" deep
Date of Work:  2005

I made this piece as part of the second Buddy Exchange with my Mosaic_California Yahoo group. I started this group in January of 2005. Many of the mosaic artists decided we would like to exchange mosaics, so we put the participants names in a hat and drew names. It worked with a few problems. Most of the participants enjoyed it so much, we repeated the exchange.

This was a glass bowl with a textured exterior that I painted with heatset paints. Next tempered glass was applied using a epoxy resin. After it dried, I grouted with a gray grout that was colored with pigments giving a berry color.

I had done a few other of these bowls prior to Christmas and found I enjoyed the transparentcy and light.
