This mosaic was done using only porcelain tiles that broke in triangular pieces. I wanted to capture the natural beauty of a rugged west coast sun rising behind the Cascade Mountains that surround the city of Vancouver. I especially love the rolling waves in the right lower corner and the abstract look of the conifer forest.
