For the Ripped Off 2005 show my partner was Doris David. 'D' has several recurring themes and I used two of them: The Southwest landscape and romance/relationships. I grabbed elements from three paintings, imagining a further romantic journey of the lighter-than-air lovers. 'What if they roamed over the desert and what if they were magical creatures like a mermaid and an energy being. Titles were:"But It's A Dry Heat", "Romeo and Juliet" and "Somewhere Between Day and Night". Painted on canvasboard for watercolor.
