This was the allusive shipwreck of my father's 20's. He would leave with his buddies from Corvallis with one tank of gas in search of a ship that had crashed into the Oregon coastline nearly 100 years ago. Unfortunately, they would always run out of gas and have to turn around before they made it to Fort Stevens State Park near the northern part of Oregon. This photograph was taken many years later with my father, who is now over 50.
