I've loved art all my life and have drawn and painted since as early as I can remember. I'm mostly self taught along with a few local art classes through the years and more recently, classes in Florida and Tennessee for mural painting and faux finishing.

I've worked as a registered nurse for 25 years, then in 2002 went back to my 1st love of painting and began a new business painting murals and faux finishes. Now I'm also drawing graphite and charcoal portraits from the clients photograph. I also paint wall art, canvas, furniture, floorcloths,ect... on commission. Pottery is my latest obsession and I've begun selling a few things on Etsy (http://tbecksmith.etsy.com).

I grew up in the small town of St. Pauls, NC and currently live near the coast in Wilmington,NC along with my husband Gunner, our sweet golden retriever mix, Trooper, and our new addition... an adopted kitten named Maggie Mae.

Most of my work has been done locally or for friends and family that keep me busy. I'm beginning to work more from my home studio, the portraits along with canvas paintings and pottery, so I thought EBSQ, Etsy and Ebay may be a good way to get more exposure while doing what I love and continually trying to grow as an artist.
