I was born and raised on Long Island, NY..My children were raised here too.. They were always around when I painted, they gave me inspiration and feelings that I wanted to put down on canvas...I decided to take some courses after they went in school ..
I felt I needed more education than what I had accrued by my family members, they were all artists.. So I went once a week to the learning arts studio in NY City.. as soon as I entered the building I was inspired.. I stayed with that school for 3 years..which introduced me to art exhibits.. such a great way to see how people saw my work..
I also have been inspired by many people. Mostly children with their crazy imaginations.. and my dear friends , Nancy, Cheryl, Marti, Rosella, Michael ( For an Immense Challenge of the art of Detail and Depth), Teddy, J/C, Robb, Monica, Mr Rosenthal (School of Arts in NYC Art Instructor)
I have always been in art since the age of 5.. My paintings are part of me and will always be .
They must have deep shadows and light ..sometimes its not correct but all this comes from my head. no photos.. , no models.
Romance! and fantasy is always in my work and usaully a told story . Sometimes my work is blue and dreary, other times they are funny or delightful .. All filled with Color of Harmony.. Sometimes Just the color tells a Story..
I am grateful to have a gift that makes people smile, laugh and sometimes cry. maybe for a moment, but many more to come. I really never know whats going to happen on a canvas. I paint the way life is........ A MYSTERY
