This is my Ripped Off 2008 show piece inspired by fellow EBSQ Artist Tiffany Matthews. The piece I chose as a springboard was her piece titled "Flower #11" (shown below)
Tiffany and I share a passion for painting flowers, and people. It wasn't a hard decision once I flipped through all her amazing work. This one really spoke to me.
The reason I picked it was because of it's freedom which is something I envy in other Artists work often. My first impression was a "big bang" of daisies. I wanted to capture that but within my own controlled style.
The concept that came to mind was a "big bang" of my own like galaxies twisting and turning, running into each other. So I fashioned these lovely daisies as if they are twirling slowly towards each other - right before the petals go flying!! "Controlled Chaos" LOL!
This is always a show I enjoy, and it's great to have a wonderful piece of Tiffany's artwork to call my own now :D
This piece belongs to Tiff and is not available for sale. However ACEO prints will be available in my etsy store soon.
