As a punishment for stealing fire woman was created. That first woman according to greek myth was Pandora. She was told to never open a particular box. But alas ever curious she opened it. Thus she released horrible plagues upon the earth and mankind. These included, envy, spite, revenge, and numerous diseases. (plus many more) This myth varies, this is the version I was told as a child.

The image to me reflects what it might have looked like if we could have captured with film the horrible emotions/diseases as they left the box whizzing to the ends of the earth.

This image was taken by leaving the shutter open on my digtal camera, and slightly moving it. (While on my way home from my Grandmother's house - no I wasn't driving *wink*) The lights whizzing by are from cars, big rigs, and Texas Motor Speedway. (all of which are a Pandora"s box of their own arn't they?)
