Bubba’s got a date!

Yes it’s true, Bubba’s got a date! He finally found time out of his busy schedule to actually go out. After slugging down a few cold ones while washing his truck, he got the ole homestead purdied up (no holds barred). Resourceful Bubba polished up the gas can, snatched a carnation off his plaid polyester suit (a leftover from his brother’s wedding last year), brushed his tooth, did a comb over and “put on the dawg!” Yeehaw!

Created for discriminating good ole boys, this little flower vase/gas can was sculpted entirely from polymer clay, painted with acrylics and sealed. The dried up carnation is genuine (egads! It came from my home).

I enjoy creating pieces that look like 3d cartoons (sculpture can be fun, sometimes it’s not pretty but somebuddy’s gotta do it) and as far as the narrative…well…my mother is the queen of sarcasm. I guess a little rubbed off on me.

As for Bubba, I’ve seen what he looks like. I’m almost afraid to see what his date looks like. Might be one of those people you can’t stand to look at, but can’t stop lookin’. Ya think?
