Namaste. This whimsical ONE OF A KIND, ORIGINAL collage is made from discarded, scrap and/or recycled materials. It measures approx. 4" X 4" (excluding ribbon hanger). These are the first in a new series of sassy "attitude" collages I am doing that will become a limited edition line of magnets and greeting cards. This piece is the ORIGINAL design. All future versions will be prints of it. Recycled chipboard, assorted papers in bold funky colors, vintage images, inks and colorful butterfies were used. It hangs from satiny ribbon. The sentiment reads, "Maxine Was Having A Hard Time Keeping Her 3-Mice-A-Day Habit Under Wraps." Scan does not show the VIVID colors and rich detail of this piece. It has much more depth and interest than can be shown in the photos. The effect I am going for with these pieces is fun and funky. I refer to my work as "primitive" because my techniques and use of recycled materials often results in the finished product looking a bit rough or unrefined, which I think just adds to the interest and character of the individual piece. This is an ORIGINAL work of art, not a copy or print. It is signed on the finished back. Matte sealant protects the piece. It also comes with a sticky-backed magnet in case you wish to display it as "appliance art." Would make a very unique gift for that special someone or a real conversation piece for your home or office!
