At first glance, this seems to be the simplest collage that I made today (Monday, 19 July 2004), but it's also the one that makes me smile the most. Torn tissue paper lends extra color to the paper support for this collage. The flowers--highlighted by translucent yellow glitter, as well as my own mix of magenta and peach-colored glitters--seem to wave gently. Below them the auburn-tressed model rests a finger to her lips. Is she indicating silence, or simply thinking? There is, of course, the reference to redheads not mixing with shades of pink... a lot of nonsense, in my opinion. I love the way that pink--especially a juicy hot pink--accents red hair. (As a redhead myself, I love this combination!) And the word "Inspiration," in pink, is what it's all about... visions and fresh thoughts arriving quietly on the wind.
