This collage is in its second incarnation. The original had a very different theme, but never seemed complete. But, when I placed the semi-nude woman over the areas that didn't seem finished, a new vision emerged, clearer and more vivid.
The fashion model is in b&w, with real, magenta tulle netting over part of the image. Her picture is on top of a torn page from a vintage ledger book, on top of acrylic paint, torn colored tissue paper, and metal leafing in various colors. At the right corner, I've placed a vintage Chinese coin, symbolizing both currency and the first (or last?) point in an I Ching reading. And, the word "muse" is at the lower right.
The original collage developed over a period of weeks, as I applied paint, scrubbed it off, added tissue paper, tore it off, and so on. There are many layers of depth to this piece.
Framed, this will look stunning. I'd probably choose a thin gold frame for it.
