I love to watch cats play and hide in things like a paper bag, a box or in this case an open drawer and then jump out to surprise the other one. Here one is hidden and one is popping out. In a minute they'll probably be racing around the house again to hide in something new.

I made use of the watercolor trait of making stars with salt in wet paint, for texture, then did whiskers on the dry paper. I used Arches watercolor paper, cold pressed.
