At the time this painting was creating, Florida was experiencing more hurricanes than they had in the entire history of storms thus far and because I used to live in Florida, I felt a lot of nervous energy flowing inside. I began to paint on a black underpainting and the need to use many colors was intense. The colors are vibrant with mixes of blues, purples, reds, greens, white, and inteference colors giving it depth and substance.
