This lovely scenery was inspired by a hike taken where I live in the beautiful Ozarks in SW Missouri. Unfortunately, I only took this one picture of it prior to donating it to the Elk Foundation for auction. It is one of the most beautiful landscape paintings I have memory of doing. It is rich with color of a fall day with lots of oranges playing off the sunlight. The gnarly trunks of the trees really grabs the onlookers attention as they get sucked into the scene, feeling the cool water of the brook as it splashes deliciously against the rocks. A wonderful work indeed which now graces the home of the winning bidder.
