WORDS FROM THE ARTIST

Hi. My name is Trish and I am addicted to color. I can't live without it and I've been known to paint on just about any surface. I'm a bit of a throwback to the 1970's doodle art era! I was thrilled that some people compared my style to Peter Max the popular pop artist. I wasn't familiar with his work until I googled him but I see we are kindred spirits!

Although I enjoy doing my now well known "Life in Northern Canada" folk art series, I admit that for the most part I enjoy creating whimsical, colorful funky types of paintings and especially hand painted furniture in my own pop art style. I think everyone should own at least one 'eclectic funky' piece of furniture or art. It can't help but put a smile on your face and I love more than anything to see someone smile when they look at my artwork.

I have been known to paint on any surface, and as my children use to tell their friends coming in and out of our house, "Don't stand still or my mother might paint you."

I am thrilled that my line of pop art furniture I call 'Eve and the Serpent' can now be seen at EARTHWORKS in Narbeth, Pennsylvania. I plan to continue on with my funky style of painting furniture and create another series. My artwork is painted on recycled furniture thus saving another piece of landfill waste and giving it a new home. To see it in person is of course much more enjoyable.

Please take a few moments to look through my portfolio and let me know what you think. Commissions are also always welcomed.
